MCPL and the Census: count us in!

Census Day is coming up on April 1st, 2020! Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) is pleased to offer information and resources pertinent to the 2020 United States Census.

The nationwide census is conducted every 10 years in order to establish an accurate image of current demographic trends. This information is critical for federal and local governments to better understand how to allocate funds and resources, as well as plan for the next decade.

Throughout the first half of this year, MCPL is hosting census events at our many branches, including information sessions on applying for census jobs. These events are hosted by Census Bureau recruiters who are familiar with the application process and can provide detailed assistance. Furthermore, visit any of our branches and speak to our knowledgeable librarians with any questions regarding the Census process, information, or dates of the next information session!

For a complete list of all local 2020 census resources, programs, and events, visit Montgomery County’s Census Page.
