Take, Make & Meet: Virtually Spooky Banners, 10/23, 5-6pm
Bats, pumpkins, and spiders. Oh My! Pick up a kit full of spooky supplies at Marilyn Praisner Library. Then join us while we create a Spooky Banner just in time to hang for Halloween!
Virtual Trivia Night: Where the Answers are Flexible! Spooktacular Edition, 10/23, 7-8pm
Kick off your weekend with some trivia! Join us for a fun hour of trivia provided by two trivia experts. All new categories! For ages teen to adult. Please register as space is limited.
Virtual Halloween Bingo, 10/25, 2-3pm
B-I-N-G-O! Get in the Halloween spirit with a virtual version of Bingo. Prizes will be given!
Trick or treating might be different this year, but you can still have some spooky fun with Halloween Bingo! Participants will play via Zoom with an online Bingo card and play for a chance to win candy prizes.
Virtual Halloween Baby Storytime, 10/29, 9-9:30am
We miss you! Join us virtually for Baby Storytime! Wear a costume if you wish for this special Halloween-themed storytime.
Virtual Halloween Trivia Night, 10/29, 7-8pm
Trick-or-treat! It’s almost All Hallow’s Eve so get in the spooky spirit with some Halloween trivia.
Spooky categories include horror movies, Halloween in literature, history of Halloween, and more! Costumes recommended, but not required.
Kids Book Discussion – The Monster’s Ring, 10/30, 4-5pm
We will be having a virtual book discussion for kids in 3-6th grades. Please read The Monster’s Ring by Bruce Coville. and come ready for a fun discussion, and maybe a game! Find the book in the library and make a holds-to-go appointment to pick it up, or you can read it online from MCPL’s Hoopla link. From the MCPL website, click Books, then E-Books, then Hoopla. Registration is required. Zoom link will be sent to those who register.
Virtual Family Dance Party, 10/30, 5-5:30pm
This week the dance party will get creepy and silly! Wear your costumes and get ready to dance to some Halloween tunes.
Virtual Halloween Family Storytime @ MCPL, 10/31, 10-10:45am
We miss you! Wear a costume if you like, and join us virtually for Halloween Family Storytime via Zoom! Filled with diverse stories and activities that promote and develop language skills and imagination, these programs encourage young children of all ages to develop a lifelong love of reading and learning and introduce them to the culture of reading.
Virtual Fun with Fluorescence: Maryland STEM Festival 2020, 10/31, 3:30-5pm
Come learn how to transform common household objects into glow-in-the-dark creations. Create your own blacklight and see fun ideas to test the fluorescence of items in your home!
