Updated Branch Hours Begin This Week

January 28, 2021 by Laurie White

Montgomery County Public Libraries will temporarily reduce our hours of service to 48 hours weekly beginning Sunday, Jan. 24. Sunday service will be discontinued, and all branches will be open 8 hours on other days.

The branches will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday.  The Noyes Library will remain closed.

“The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic unfortunately requires us to make this decision,” said MCPL Director Anita Vassallo.  “I hope that we will be able to begin to restore our operating hours as the situation improves over the course of the year.”

Holds to Go!, MCPL’s contactless holds pickup service, will take place during the new hours. The adjustment to hours will make it possible for us to continue Holds to Go! at all branches.

Some virtual programs will continue outside of the new branch hours, so continue to check the MCPL calendar to join us! Digital services will continue to be available 24/7. Stay up-to-date on those with our E-resource guide.
