MoComCon 2023 Comes to Germantown This January!
Envision Stormtroopers marching, teens discussing their favorite manga, a child dressed as Okoye from Wakanda Forever, and kids and teens rocking out to Beat Saber on the Oculus Rift. One might think this is a scene from an amusement park, but it’s not. It’s a scene from someplace even more exciting… MoComCon 2023!
What is MoComCon, you might ask? MoComCon is Montgomery County Public Libraries’ FREE annual convention celebrating all things comic and fandom related. For the past 6 years, children, teens and adults of all ages have come together to geek out and we can’t wait to do it again!
MoComCon is a daylong event that has something for everyone. Panels featuring guest speakers, Superhero Storytime, Life-size Candyland, VR stations, a scavenger hunt, selfie stations and so much more!

You can even get a jump start on all the fandom frenzy by joining our art or essay contest by the December 14 deadline!
If that isn’t enough to interest you, MoComCon culminates with our wildly popular Cosplay Contest for all ages.
While you’re there you might spot Disney’s Mirabel, Baby Yoda, or Luigi. Even if you don’t dress up, it’s great fun to watch and cheer on the contestants! Learn more about this fun contest and all our contests HERE.
This year, MoComCon is taking place on Saturday, January 14th, 2023, 10:30 AM-4:00 PM at the Germantown Library, at 19840 Century Blvd. SO, come on out and show your fandom pride, and while you’re there don’t forget to pick up your free library card and check out all the library has to offer.
