Celebrate Juneteenth at MCPL

Join one of our many events this June at MCPL to acknowledge, learn about, and commemorate Juneteenth. Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, on June 19, 1865, informing the freed slaves there that the Emancipation Proclamation had gfrandted them freedom two years before.

We hope you’ll join our Juneteenth events this month.

Join us as author, writer, motivational speaker, and mentor Charles Leon Fantroy Jr. reads from his collection of poems and talks about his life. You will be inspired by an extraordinary journey!
