It’s adventure week at McGee Library! Come celebrate by visiting and completing our scavenger hunt for a fun prize!

Teen Graphic Novel Contest — Celebrating Adventure Week!

Adventure Starts Here! Visit Davis Library July 28-August 3 to pick up an entry form and template to enter our graphic novel contest! Using the provided template, you’ll be able to create a graphic novel page about an adventure of your choice. For grades 6-12. Submissions are due on August 3rd at 6pm. No exceptions.

*Submissions will not be returned. Please make a copy of your artwork to submit if you’d like to keep it. Submissions must be on the provided template.

Sports Fun Scavenger Hunt

The  ‘Sports Fun’ scavenger  hunt is a tribute to the Olympics and in line with the Summer Reading theme’ Adventure starts here’. Adults, teens and children can participate. Scavenger hunt is in the lower level Children’s area. Come search and have fun, during the month of July.

Summer Adventure Scavenger Hunt at Noyes & Kensington Park Libraries

Explore the Town of Kensington on an adventure to find carved statues! A collaboration of the Noyes and Kensington Park libraries. 

During the Summer Reading Challenge, stop in to either the Noyes Library or Kensington Park Library to grab your map to adventure! There are 9 carved statues throughout the Town of Kensington that you and your adult need to find. For every 3 you find, you get a sticker prize; find all 9 and get a bonus sticker!

This scavenger hunt will be available during the Summer Reading Challenge and will be available and completable from either the Noyes Library or the Kensington Park Library.

Start your search in the Picture Book Room. Find all the images around the Children’s areas and then come to the Information Desk for a prize!

Join our monthly scavenger hunt and find all the Mari Mariposas hiding in the library. Find all of them and win a sticker or a pin! From July 1st to July 31st.

Come to the library and pick up a take and make kit to make your own strawberry from July 14th to July 27th.

Come to the library and pick up a take and make kit to learn about the Olympic Rings and make your very own from July 28th to August 10th.

Mari Mariposa Summer Scavenger Hunt

All summer long stop in to the Noyes Library to search for postcards featuring this year’s Summer Reading Challenge mascot Mari Mariposa. Find all 11 postcards and win a fun sticker prize! You can do the scavenger hunt as many times as you want, but you can only get 1 sticker a day.

Scavenger hunt runs for all 3 months of the Summer Reading Challenge (June, July, August).

Stop into the Noyes Library during the month of July to grab a kit to make a fun fireworks display at home! Celebrate the nation’s birthday by making a fireworks display using only glue, salt, and food coloring.

There are 11 photos of Mari Mariposa hidden around the children’s area. Find them all to claim your prize!  

Help celebrate Summer Reading at MCPL by finding Mari Mariposa! Mari is having lots of fun outside this summer – can you spot her on all her adventures?

Once you find all 11 photos, bring your finished sheet to the Information Desk for a prize!
